A stunning coastal home named Ruin X is now the hottest house in the country, latest data shows, and its vibe is all about staying permanently in ‘holiday mode’.
Figures released by REA Group show Ruin X beat a multitude of luxury homes across Torrens Park South Australia, Montrose and Ivanhoe in Victoria to take top spot generating the most views this week.
The one-of-a-kind abode, listed by Kollosche agents Michael Kollosche and Eoghan Murphy, is set to go on auction at 11am on Sunday March 13.
Mr Murphy said the home was a work of art.
Just over a year in the marking, the four-bedroom two-bathroom home at 31 Beaconsfield Drive, Burleigh Waters, blends expert design and skilful execution.
“I think obviously the uniqueness is special, we’ve never seen anything like this,” Mr Murphy said. “Not only is it unique, but it’s actually super functional to live.”
Visitors are greeted by an oversized arched glass front door, with Ruin X offering multiple cozy living spaces. There’s a chic Italian Onyx marble island bench in the kitchen and Smeg home appliances among the up-market touches.
Matt Jamieson and his company Render X created the Burleigh home to be unlike any other.
Mr Murphy said it would be exceptional to find something else like this in Australia.
“He is essentially an artist in our opinion, I’d be pretty certain there are not many people in the country who can do what he does,” he said.
Outdoors, the home shines with a covered alfresco entertaining area, bar and a picturesque view of the curved pool – which sports its own rendered diving board.
“The feel is like a hacienda vibe, you’re transported to Mexico – you just feel like you’re on a holiday,” Mr Murphy said.
The home was appropriate for families with generously sized bedrooms, bathrooms, and living spaces but Mr Murphy said “we’ve had interested buyers from all walks of life”.
