A 15-year-old Victorian girl has died after being struck by a car as she was walking along a road in the Mornington Peninsula.
Police say a 19-year-old woman was behind the wheel of the car that struck the pedestrian in Baxter just before 8pm last night.
The teen died at the scene.
“The driver, a 19-year-old Aspendale Gardens woman, stopped at the scene and is helping police with their enquiries,” police said.
“The exact circumstances surrounding the collision are yet to be determined and the investigation is ongoing.”
