‘Spirits have remained high’ in the queue waiting to see Queen Elizabeth

ITN’s former Royal editor Tim Ewart says the “sense of goodwill” between mourners who are queuing to see the Queen’s casket is “incredible”.

“New friendships have been made, the spirits on that queue have remained high,” he told Sky News host Chris Smith.

“The latest is that it’s about nine hours from the end of the queue to get into the palace at Westminster, roughly four miles.”

Mr Ewart said there was an app developed by the United Kingdom government which tells people where the queue starts – but not without glitches.
