Sanctioning Russian products is the ‘only way to sanction them in the long run’

The Australian’s Foreign Editor Greg Sheridan says the West should increase the amount of weaponry supplied to Ukraine, after it was revealed Europe continues to pay Russia for gas and oil, while investing significantly less in aid for Ukraine.

“How is it that Russia can give its militia high-altitude air defence weapons – which shot down a Malaysian civilian plane and killed 38 Australians – and nobody thinks Russia is risking nuclear war by doing that," he told Sky News host Peta Credlin.

“But the West won’t give similar high-altitude air defence weapons to Ukraine.”

“The only way to sanction them in the long run, is to sanction their products.”
