New South Wales has 175 people in ICU

New South Wales Chief Health Officer Dr Kerry Chant says there are 175 people in ICU across the state.

“There were 34,759 cases of COVID detected in the 24-hour period and 134,000 COVID tests,” Dr Chant said.

“I said before that we will be looking at an amalgam of data to inform where we are in the Omicron wave and that will include hospitalisations, ICU admissions, case numbers but also the RAT testing data and I am sure the community will embrace that reporting system.”
