Marginal SA seat of Boothby to be a close contest

The candidates for Boothby – South Australia's tightest seat – have now cast their votes this federal election.

SA Premier Peter Malinauskas joined Labor candidate Louise Miller-Frost at the polling booth on Saturday as part of his ongoing efforts to help the ALP win the election.

“Well, I haven’t really stopped campaigning and working hard since our state election, and naturally I want to do everything I can to help out Labor at a federal level,” Mr Malinauskas told Sky News Australia.

It would be a historic win for Labor in Boothby as the seat has been Liberal-held since 1949.
