Locals didn’t like ‘being taken for granted’ in Fowler

Labor was reminded that “voters don’t like being taken for granted” with their stunning loss in the once-safe seat of Fowler, says Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“That’s always been the case, and Labor got itself a little incoming reminder of that reality on Saturday,” Mr Kenny said.

“As we mentioned many times, Labor tried to parachute former NSW premier Kristina Keneally from the Senate into the safe, multicultural, Western Sydney seat of Fowler, even though she had no connection with the area.

“Locals didn’t like it, they embraced local independent Dai Le, and Keneally could see the writing on the wall on Saturday night.”
