Skinny Sbu , a local sock brand will be joining Trevor Noah and Black Coffee in representing South Africa at the 64th Grammy Awards.
Skinny Sbu Socks founder Sibusiso Ngwenya recently announced that he will be representing South Africa at The 64th Grammy Awards as The Official Sock Partner
The partnership is set to represent a lot of local entrepreneurs that seek to break into the international market, and show people all over the world what South African entrepreneurs can offer.
The Skinny Sbu Socks is hoping through this partnership, to position itself in the international market and for them to compete against some of the biggest brands in the world.
“We are very excited about this partnership – This has been a very long and expensive exercise, considering the effects of the pandemic on our business. We would like to invite potential sponsors to jump on board so that we can fulfil our administrative obligations with the Recording Academy.” Sandile Mbelekwane Head of Finance for Skinny Sbu Socks said on the company’s website.

In 2018, founder Sibusiso Ngwenya made headlines in a TV interview where he asked for R5-million in funding.
