Cristiano Ronaldo linked with a sensational move away from Manchester United – Entertainment SA

There seems to be some sort of exodus of star players at Manchester United if the word doing the rounds is anything to go by.

British media outlets suggest that star striker Cristiano Ronaldo is headed for the exit door as he is linked with a return to the Italian Serie A.

The Portuguese national team skipper joined the Red Devils last year following a move from Juventus.

However, Express UK indicates that the veteran talisman is now set to reunite with his ex-teammates at the Italian giants.

Ronaldo parted ways with the English Premier League side in 2009 and rejoined United last summer from Juve but he has had a pretty decent return to the EPL club.

Whilst his personal performances have been very good, the same cannot be said about the club that has struggled under various managers, the latest being Ole Gunnar Solskjaer and Ralf Rangnick.

The 37-year-old former Real Madrid skipper starred in 39 matches for the side and found the back of the net on 24 occasions as well as providing three assists in the last term.

It is reported that the club’s failure to secure a top four finish has led to massive speculation regarding Ronaldo’s future in the United Kingdom as they will not play in the lucrative UEFA Champions League.

“Reports in Spain claim Jorge Mendes has proposed Cristiano Ronaldo leave Manchester United for a return to Juventus this summer,” reports The Express.

“The Portugal international only swapped Turin for Old Trafford a year ago.

“But, with the Red Devils failing to qualify for the Champions League, it seems like there’s a chance he’ll leave the fallen Premier League giants this summer.”

Dubbed a serial winner, ‘CR7’ Ronaldo previously spent three years with the Serie A giants and helped them to two Scudetto triumphs during his stay.

Furthermore, the speculation on one of the most prolific hitmen follows the shocking departure of Paul Pogba who is also linked with a return to Turin.
