Climate bill gives a ‘clear direction’ and ‘sets the stage for the next piece of the journey’

Ai Group’s Principal National Advisor Tennant Reed says the agreed climate targets outlined in Labor’s bill gives a clear direction and sets the stage for the next piece of the journey to achieving net zero.

The government’s climate bill has passed the lower house and is set to go to the Senate for a final vote in order to enshrine Labor’s climate targets into law.

“Which is finalising a lot of policies to actually achieve this important goal,” Mr Reed told Sky News Australia.

“The process that’s been set out is good, we’ve got a lot of work to do now though to get there.”
