Band of Severe Thunderstorms Moves Across Southern US

Severe thunderstorms and high winds blew across regions of the southeastern United States – including portions of Alabama, Florida, and Mississippi – on Tuesday, April 5. The National Weather Service (NWS) reported a band of strong to severe thunderstorms would move southeast and towards the coast throughout Tuesday afternoon. Conditions along and ahead of the band could produce additional severe storms, including damaging winds and isolated tornadoes, the NWS said.
