Albanese shifts funding focus to education and health

Opposition Leader Anthony Albanese has pledged millions for easing teacher shortages.

It is expected under Labor that high-achieving high school students will receive $12,000 dollars a year if they choose to study an education degree.

“That’s about attracting people who will become the best teachers in the profession,” Mr Albanese said.

Mr Albanese also announced $400 million is on offer to expand the Flinders Medicare Centre with new operating theatres and expanding medical imaging.
